Brick and Stonework Cleaning

Even brick and stonework gets dirty after a while and needs a little TLC. As with most surfaces and along with the UK weather they create breeding grounds for all types of growth. These growths latch onto the surface and over time can cause damage, reducing its life span and causing potentially high repair bills.

At MJL Cleaning we can remove the following from your brick or stonework.

Rest assured, we take just as much care of brick and Stonework as we would of the most delicate surfaces. We don’t just use an industrial pressure washer to blast the brick or stonework clean, potentially causing lots of damage to the surface or pointing in between.

Professional knowledge and equipment

As with everything, we have researched the best ways and practices and invested in the correct equipment. In most cases of cleaning brick and stonework, we will use our Therma Tech super heated water system, able to reach temperatures of upto 150 degrees. At 150 degrees it enables us to work at a very low pressure, allowing us to achieve fantastic results whilst not damaging the surface or pointing. At these temperatures it also kills of any growth in the pores of the brick or stonework, meaning that once we have cleaned it, it will stay cleaner for longer as there is nothing there to start growing back straight away.

We also have the ability to Softwash surfaces. Achieving the same great results as our Super heated system for removing moss, dirt and Lichens, Softwashing uses chemicals as the cleaning process.

For those harder to remove things such as Efflorescent or cement stains, we have our abrasive attachment to add to the Therma tech system. It is a lot gentler than it sounds, using small particles of glass or sand to gently remove things that water or chemical alone cant. It is that good that it will even clean rust off metal surfaces, leaving them shiny and new.
